Church Family,
With the COVID crisis enveloping our nation once again, I have been watching very carefully, not knowing how it will affect our congregation. Sadly, I have come to the conclusion that it is not safe for us to meet in person at this point. Therefore, and regrettably, we are going back to an ON-LINE ONLY format for next several weeks. Wow! I do not want to do this, but I have received word of several of our families who have tested positive for COVID and we simply cannot risk in-person services.
Please note: There is not an indication that our church services or meetings were the sources of a “super spreader event” All the people who have tested positive have not been in the building recently and it does not appear that the Coronavirus has been in our building. Rather those who have tested positive picked it up from work or from family events over the Thanksgiving holiday. I say this to let you know that there is no reason to think that you have been exposed if you have attended a church function over the past two weeks.
I will be working with the praise team and volunteers to continue to produce on-line services in either Facebook live-stream or pre-recorded formats.
I thank you for your patience during these trying times. I grieve that this virus has taken so much from us and now it is affecting ourAdvent/Christmas celebrations as well. WE WILL OVERCOME! This might be a frustration and it may be disappointing, but it need not hinder the work of God or rob us of our joy. As God’s people, we are resilient and hopeful because of our victorious Savior. I will continue to stay in touch with our people via Facebook, Email, and phone calls.
Please continue to be faithful in your support of this ministry. You can continue your tithes, offerings, and other giving by using our website's online giving platform. www.charlottecalvary.org
We will be in contact with you regarding our Christmas Eve service. We are not sure how this will be conducted. Also, our Food Pantry will still function as normal.
Please be blessed this day and may the peace of Christ be with you during this time of Advent.
